  • In 2008 I passed the entrance exam for the percussion program at the Conservatorio B. Marcello in Venice, where I earned my “vecchio ordinamento” diploma in classical percussion in September 2017.
  • In 2012 I began studying with Walter Calloni at the Funky Town Music Academy in Milan, and in 2014 I was awarded a scholarship for my results there.
  • In April 2023 I completed my academic diploma in Pop/Rock drums and percussion at the Conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi” in Milan, studying under Maurizio Dei Lazzaretti.
  • In 2015 I won a national audition and spent several years as the drummer for the musical/opera “Musica Ribelle: la forza dell’amore,” directed by E. Gamba, with music by and featuring Eugenio Finardi. The tour played major Italian theaters, including Teatro Nuovo in Milan, Teatro Valli in Reggio Emilia, Teatro Goldoni in Livorno, and Teatro della Pergola in Florence, among others.
That same year I won the Zildjian contest run by “Drumset Mag.”
  • In June 2016 I played the Blues ‘n’ Jazz Rapperswil festival in Switzerland with Gospel Times feat. Joyce E. Yuille. That show opened up a steady run of touring and concert work in African American music.
  • In July 2017 the artist Xavier Veilhan brought me in to back pianist and composer Christophe Chassol for a performance in the French Pavilion at the 57th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia.
  • Also in 2017 I became the house drummer for “Solo chi c’ha Fede,” a TV talk show airing Thursday nights in prime time on the national channel Sportitalia (channel 60 on digital terrestrial, 225 on Sky).
  • In 2019, together with several colleagues, I opened the production and recording studio ‘Black Deer Studio‘. The studio has been a major asset professionally, opening the door to work with artists, engineers, and producers such as Ricky Damian, Andrea Valfrè, Matteo Buzzanca, Giusy Ferreri, and many others. To date we’ve produced, arranged, and recorded music across a wide range of genres — film music, pop, electronic, jazz, classical, and contemporary — including releases for labels such as Universal Music Italia, Peermusic, Warner Music Italia, Edizioni Musicali Rai Com, Epops Music, Rokovoko Records, and Caligola Records.

I’m currently working on personal research that combines traditional percussion technique with interactive technology and motion sensors, exploring new rhythmic and expressive possibilities.
